AUGUST 5, 2010: OAPW would like to congratulae VANCE NEVADA for being ranked #394 on the 2010 "PWI 500" list, acknowledging the 500 best wrestlers in the world. Vance jumped 19 spots from 2009 (when he was ranked #413), and was the highest-ranked Western Canadian independent wrestler...and fourth-highest ranking Canadian independent wrestler this year.
JULY 3, 2010: OAPW would like to congratulate DISCO FURY, MICHELLE STARR, RAVEN LAKE and SETH KNIGHT for a great showing at Monster Pro Wrestling's Total Turmoil event in Edmonton. Most notably, Starr and VANCE NEVADA put aside their differences to capture the vacant MPW Tag Team Titles!
JULY 1, 2010: as part of a longstanding annual tradition, FRIAR MacBETH & MICHAEL MORE (as part of the Celtic Coalition Party), battled "Team Canada" at the Canada Day celebrations in Enderby, B.C. This year, Team Canada consisted of COLLIN CUTLER, MINION and OAPW Champion, SLAVE. Shockingly, the CCP actually emerged victorious this year!
JUNE 24, 2010: BIG STEVE McCARTHY will not be able to attend Crazy From The Heat on July 17 in Barriere; the handler of "MAD DOG" MARTY SUGAR will be performing with his band, WHISKY DICK, in West Kelowna that weekend. Check out WHISKYDICK.CA for more info!
JUNE 18, 2010: "GORGEOUS" MICHELLE STARR has been fined an undisclosed sum of money, for his expletive-laden tirade towards OAPW, in regards to his being currently listed at #15 in the OAPW Rankings. "I can beat every one of those losers you have in front of me in and outside the ring..." is about all we care to reprint of Starr's tirade, here on the website.
JUNE 16, 2010: OAPW is in the process of finalizing it's next show, Crazy From The Heat, in Barriere next month. The show will be a fundraising drive to help send local Barriere girl, ALEX HARPAUER, to Germany as part of a Student Exchange Program.
JUNE 12, 2010: OAPW has learned that in July, LAK SIDDARTHA will be heading to Tampa, Florida, for a tryout with FLORIDA CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING...the training grounds for future WWE stars. OAPW wishes "The Prince of Power" the best of luck!
JUNE 11, 2010: OAPW would like to congratulate "MR. BEEFY GOODNESS" VANCE NEVADA for defeating DUSTY LAMBORGHINI to win the Gold Dragon Wrestling Title in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. This is the 20th title victory of Vance's storied 17-year career.
JUNE 7, 2010: congratulations to FRIAR MACBETH, whose wife gave birth to a healthy baby girl (Trinity Marin), in the early morning hours. The proud father was absent from Merritt Mountain MADNESS on June 5, due to this special occasion.
JUNE 6, 2010: "GORGEOUS" MICHELLE STARR has been fined an undisclosed sum of money, after his expletive-laden tirade towards AKAM SINGH at Merritt Mountain MADNESS on June 5.

MAY 30, 2010: OAPW would like to congratulate "MAD DOG" MARTY SUGAR, as he celebrates one full year as Okanagan-Interior Champion. Mad Dog won the title in Enderby on May 30, 2009, by last eliminating "GORGEOUS" MICHELLE STARR in a Battle Royale.
